More proof of the complicity between the Bush family and "a good terrorist" LÁZARO BARREDO MEDINAEspecial for Granma and Cubadebate If someone in this world doubts that there exists ambivalence in the White House towards terrorism, he would convinced by the undeniable proof that shows that the Bush family is involved up to it's neck with the terrorist mafia of Miami. News agencies have reported that Bush has met with one of the protectors of Posada Carriles. Here are the details: Fort Lauderdale.—According to Notimex, an unmistakable signal that the Bush administration will not extradite the terrorist Luis Posada Carriles, as asked by the Venezuelan government, was given when president Bush met with Cuban-American Alberto Hernández - a personal friend of terrorist Carriles, Although there were no details on the meeting, the images on Florida's Channel 51 television, showing Bush sending warm greetings to Carriles protector - Hernández - at Fort Lauderdale airport as signaling that the ex-CIA agent will not be extraditied to Venezuela. Something has to be cooking, since this meeting came after Alberto Hernández had met with Condoleezza Rice and the spokesman for the Miami mafia inside the State Department, Roger Noriega. By the way who is Alberto Hernández? There are some who are sure that Hernández is currently one of the directors of an organization which assesses Bush on island, namely, the Council for Freedom in Cuba. Born in Cuba in 1938, he graduated as a doctor. At the end of the 50's, he became marginally involved in the struggle against Batista. Shortly after the triumph of the revolution, he leaves Cuba and settles in the city of Miami. He then becomes member of different counter-revolutionary groups, such as Alpha 66. Later he gains notoriety in his activities in the terrorist organization known as Liberator Movement of Cuba; an organization which he eventually leads. He befriends the terrorist Orlando Bosch Ávila - coauthor of the 1976 Cuban airliner bombing - claiming that the terrorist is "his brother until death". Hernandez is indebted to to Bosch for it was Bosch who in the 70's made it possible for Hernandez to acquire the license to practice medicine in Florida; this was done because of Hernandez's favorable impression he had made working inside the counter revolutionary terrorist groups. After the bombing of the Cuban airliner in Barbados it was Alberto Hernandez who became one of the most ardent supporters of the convicted terrorist; and who helped both Bosch and Luis Posada Carriles with resourcesand financial aid. After Orlando Bosch was arrested in 1988 Hernandez came to his defense. for example, after a legal process was initiated by the Department of Justice, Hernandez testified in Federal court in favor of Bosch. At this time he organized various marathons to collect funds for Bosch's defense; while Bosch was in jail he also frequently visited the terrorist. Hernandez along with the then president of the Cuban-American National Foundation (CANF), Jorge Mas Canosa and other leaders of the terrorist mafia of Miami, started the Commission for the Liberation of Orlando Bosch. It was this organization who made a plea for Bosch's release and who collected $200,000 from eight "exile" Cubans; a sum which was handed over to Bosch's lawyer Leandro Mora and which was said to be for the purpose of bribing three judges who were reviewing the case of terrorist Bosch. It should be noted that the FBI had classified Orlando Bosch as one of the most dangerous terrorist living in the US. The Jorge Mas Canosa - Alberto Hernandez connection Hernández met Canosa in the 70's as members of organizations which carried terrorist activities against Cuba. Hernandez is one of the first members of CANF. Once in the organization he gains the absolute confidence of Mas Canosa. While working hard to have Bosch the terrorist freed he also plays an important part in the escape of the the other terrorist responsible for the 1976 Cuban airline bombing: ex CIA agent Posada Carilles. In interviews and in his autobiography, The Ways of a Warrior, Carriles declares that he received financial assistance from Mas Canosa, Feliciano Foyo, the treasurer of the CANF as well as from Alberto Hernandez. The most important activity of Hernandez at the time was the financing and the delivery of money via his assistant Gaspar Jiménez Escobedo to Venezuela with the intent of bribing the prison personnel of San Carlos as to have Carriles escape prison. Escobedo is a veteran at terrorism who has been tied to drug trafficking who was arrested in Panama for trying to blow up a university building where Cuba's President Fidel Castro spoke. Using the Pasteur Clinic as a smokescreen he was a body guard of Alberto Hernandez. Alberto Hernandez and the CIA Hernandez following the orders of Mas Canosa was involved in covert operations in support of the Contras in Nicaragua; a covert illegal operation directed by Oliver North which later became known as the Iran-Contra scandal. In Honduras using a medical brigade as facade he covered his CIA activities. One of the objectives of Alberto Hernandez, in his support of the Contras in their war against the Sandinistas was to secure a base in Nicaragua where a commando team headed by Mas Canosa would attack Cuban personnel in Nicaraguan territory. In this CIA venture, carried out form the US base of Ilopango in El Salvador, Alberto Hernandez worked along side with the recent fugitive from a jail in Venezuela, Luis Posada Carriles. The not so innocent doctor Hernandez After Mas Canosa named Hernández Sarduy as the vice-president of the CANF, Canosa recommended that a paramilitary group be set up for the purpose of carrying out violent actions against Cuba. In 1994 it was this innocent doctor, Hernandez, who headed CANF activities in third countries. Later in 1997, in Miami, he participated in setting up the terrorist structure in Central America as outlined by the CANF; a network in Central America that was intended to promote and increase acts of sabotage in Cuba. Recently, he has been actively engaged in the planning of assassination plots and the financing of these plots against Cuban president Fidel Castro. Hernandez a would be liberator of Cuba Hernandez today is a flamboyant director of the Council for the Liberty of Cuba; an organization which was created on August 2001, shortly after a power struggle developed within the CANF. The Council which is nothing more than a clone of the CANF was founded by 25 ex-directors of the CANF; all of which have dark pasts linked to terrorism. The Council which is to the right of the extreme right groups which advocate the use of terrorism and violence as a means of destroying the Cuban revolution has been embraced totally by the Bush administration. Bush family has always been good friends of the "good terrorists" The deep hatred of the Bush family for the Cuban revolution started in 1959. It was about that time that a young CIA agent and Texan businessman was asked to create networks and mechanism for the financing of the contra-revolutionary groups newly created by the CIA. In 1960 his orders and mission were clearly defined as he was given orders by the company (CIA) to recruit Cubans for the mercenary group which was later to attack Cuba; a mercenary force which later became known as Brigade 2506 and which later ended in the disastrous Bay of Pigs invasion. The Texas CIA agent became dear friend of the Cuban who was assigned to him: Felix Rodriguez; it was Rodriguez also known as the Cat who in the late 70's hunted down and gave the CIA orders for Ernesto "Che" Guevara to be assassinated in cold blood. Working with Bush the job of the Cat was to gather recruits for the mercenary invasion. It must be added that some of these recruits later became "old CIA warriors" which carried out terrorist activities against Cuba. Little did these mercenaries know that the young Texan, George Herbert Walker Bush, the father of the current president of the US and the Governor of Florida, and the first director of the CIA would later become the 41st president of the US. A president who would give a presidential pardon to Cuban-American terrorist Orlando Bosch. As you can clearly see since the triumph of the Cuban revolution the Bush clan has always been the friends of the "good terrorists". | ||||||||||||||||||
