Real faces of the Cuban dissidents in and out of Cuba
Who
is Frank
Calzon
this individual who the so called dissident Rene Gomez Manzano is so cozy
with?
He
is a Cuban-American who while at the University of Georgetown was recluted by
the CIA. He was one of the directors of a New York terrorist
organization known as ABDALA; and later became a Director of the Cuban
American National foundation. Having had to resign because of in
fighting he became one of the heads of the program "Transition for a Free
Cuba" sponsored by Freedom House all having ties to the US and
Cuban-American right wing, all funded by the US government. On October 6 1995
then the US govt gave half million dollars to those groups in Cuba who opposed
the Cuban govt. This was approximately 5 months before the Helm-Burton law was
signed.
On
August of 1997 an emissary of Calzone, David Dorn, was caught distributing
computers, short-wave radios, and sophisticated electronic equipment and
large sums of money to various seditious groups and people, among them,
Vladimiro Roca
As
a consequence of this scandal, at the end of 1997 Calzon left Freedom House to
create the Center for a Free Cuba. He immediately received 400 thousand
dollars from Washington ( all of this at our expense folks, our tax money).
The members of this organization are treated like Sultans of the
dissidents. And even if none of them have a regular job nevertheless,
they are lavished with perks, living the lives of kings, one of them owning 4
houses. All of this at our expense, with our tax money, folks.
On
June 27, 1997 during a press conference with foreign journalists, held in the
home of Beatriz Roque, to issue a new document of intent, the president of
Independent and Democratic Cuba, one of the most aggressive and terrorist
groups of exiles, an organization which has a bloody history of terrorist
attacks against Cuba, issued the following communiqué:
"The
document is very objective and precise. We in the name of Independent
and Democratic Cuba support it wholeheartedly".
Communicating
with Nartha Beatriz in a program coordinated by Radio Marti and other
reporters from Miami and Washington, he enthusiastically stated: "You can
expect our full solidarity". Next to Hubert Matos was Jose Basulto,
the head of Brothers to the Rescue, an ex CIA agent who in 1987, using a
speedboat fired a machine gun at a hotel in Cuba, and who now finances the
personal expenses of Vladimiro Roca - giving him 1000's of dollars in the
process. When Vladimiro Roca was arrested in his home, he had gear with
the insignia of the group headed by Ramon Saul Sanchez, Democracy Movement.
The same organization that repeatedly have organized flotillas to Cuba,
on many occasions violating Cuban waters. Saul Sanchez is the same
person who at the age of 24 was a member, and second in command, of one of the
organizations under CORU - an org. created in the 70's by one of the bloodiest
exile terrorists ever Orlando Bosch.
This
CORU is the same org. that working with the CIA has perpetrated acts of
terrorism against Cuba. Among them:
April
6, 1976: Two fishing boats, Ferro-119 and 123 are attacked by Miami
terrorists, causing the deaths of Bienvenido Mauriz.
April
22: A bomb explodes in the Cuban embassy in Portugal, injuring many and
causing the deaths of Cuban Diplomats Adriana Corcho Callejas and Efren
Monteagudo Rodriguez.
June
5: The Cuban UN Mission in NY is bombed causing great damage
July
9: A bomb explodes in the baggage compartment of a Cuban airliner,
Cubana de Aviacion, in Kingston, Jamaica. If this bomb would have
exploded in flight it would have killed a score of innocent people
July
10: A bomb explodes in the offices of British West Indies, agency
representing Cubana de Aviacion (Cuban Airline)
July
24: A technician of the National Institute of Fishery, Artagan Diaz
Diaz, is killed, in an attempt to kidnap the Cuban ambassador in Merida,
Mexico August 9: Two diplomats, Crescencio Galanena Hernandez and
Jesus Cejas Arias are kidnapped and never heard from again
August
18: A bomb explodes in the offices of Cubana de Aviacion in Panama,
causing considerable damages
October
6: In the deadliest and bloodiest acts of terrorism bombs explode in a Cuban
airliner of Cubana de Aviacion, killing 73 innocent people
Those
are the supporters of Vladimiro Roca and the band of four dissidents.
These
are the dissidents, which the congress calls prisoners of conscience, and for
which the US congress has appropriated millions of our tax money for.
